It's on the right hand side video called All we want for Christmas is ...

If only they'd put that much effort into the football this year.

I laughed when I saw the guy in the Manly Jersey.

Remember when they came last? Brilliant.

I thought it was neat. Something a little different to try and sell memberships.

Maybe if they hadn't just won the spoon it would be 'neat'. If the my team and just won the spoon and played as poorly as they did last season I want them training hard, not rehearsing dance moves.

Grumpy bum.

I don't mind. I like players being involved in some entertaining promotion for their club and the game. Good on 'em.

I read somewhere they had 2 practice sessions.

I prefer my teams to sell memberships by winning premierships, but I guess you wouldn't really know much about that... :P

I'm sure they have been doing more this pre season than just rehearsing dance moves. It's probably a good bonding thing and a bit of downtime during the pre season.

Lol. We don't need premierships to sell memberships. But imagine if we did get out of the cellar. Our figures would give a few AFL clubs a run for memberships numbers (the #### ones).

A large percentage of your club's memberships are non ticketed though, way above the average of any other club.
The Broncos and Dragons have more ticketed memberships and this year, chances are the Knights will too...

We had the most ticketed memberships and most members for a good majority of this year. The 2012 membership has had a slow start for ticketed memberships (due to so many false dawns). However we are sitting at 14k (via our website) members. I am guessing we are roughly looking at 8000 ticketed members and the rest non ticketed. IMO that is pretty good with a pretty poor finish to this year (again). There hasn't been much on the signing front and another rookie NRL coach. So people have been a bit nervous or fed up and are waiting before jumping back on board and have only purchased the non ticketed package, but I am confident some will upgrade closer to the season.

I will be interested to see what the membership numbers are, when the Daily Telegraph do their update story.

These are the 2011 figures, according to the NRL State of the Game report...

Souths: - 20633 members, of which 12748 were ticketed (62%)
Dragons: - 20313 members, of which 15039 were ticketed (74%)
Knights: - 15188 members, of which 12852 were ticketed (84%)
Broncos: - 14929 members, of which 13167 were ticketed (88%)

Although Souths had most members, Dragons, Broncos, Knights had more ticketed members, and even the Dogs came pretty close with 12474.

Broncos are already on 11.5K for 2012 btw, on par with Dragons and Knights, while Souths is on around 14K.

I hope you recall me saying for a majority of the year we were leading, I wasn't sure how it ended.

On to the stats - the Broncos and Knights figures are understandable, 1 team towns with a huge league following, however they should be better. With such a successful life, the Broncos ticketed memberships should be over 20k. Can anyone confirm if the Suncorp members are included in to the Broncos ticketed memberships? I heard they were included and due to this, the teams playing at ANZ stadium were going to put those members into their team figures. However, the teams declined as it would inflate the figure unrealistically.

With the Dragons figures, do they class a ticketed membership as attending all home games? I am pretty sure they had 4 different types of ticketed memberships that added to that tally - all home games, only home games at Kogarah, only home games at Win and a 3 game GA to any home game. If that is the case then the Dragons figures would most probably be on par with Souths and the Knights or could be a little lower.

We only had a break down of every home game (including 2 away ANZ matches as well), 5 game regional and the junior bunny GA tickets.

I don't think those figures are that bad for us considering how unsuccessful we have been in the last 10 years. I am interested on how the playing away from our "home area" at Homebush effects that figures (personally I prefer playing at ANZ). All we need is few successful years and we will be in the 80% for the ratio of ticketed to none ticketed. Heaven help us if we could actually win the bloody thing.
